Welcome Steve, you've joined a good forum and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. By the way how far north are you, I'm in north Northumberland.

Hi Steve. Welcome to the analog asylum. They keep us all in one little place now so we don't harm any of the digi dudes. Watch out for that Les character he will lead you astray LOL.
We should all start off with our introductions by saying:
Hi my name is (your name) and I'm an analogoholic.
The 12 step program is:
1. We admitted we were powerless over the zone system - that our exposure and developing calculations had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that Ansel Adams could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the smell of Dektol until all hours of the night.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of our equipment.
5. Admitted to APUG'ers, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrong exposures.
6. Were entirely ready to have your fellow photographers remove all these defects of character.
7. Humbly asked us to remove our shortcomings.
8. Made a list of all negatives we had underexposed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Made direct amends such as selenium toning negs wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them.
10. Continued to take reams of notes and when we forgot, to promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through single malt scotch and hangovers to improve our conscious contact with the MTF curves of our lenses as we understood them, hoping only for knowledge of the optimally sharp aperature which will grant us stunning negatives and the ability to print them.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to analogoholics and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
Welcome to our group. Be proud.
Eric
ps. any of you who know the original wording to these 12 steps, please don't take offense.
