Yes, please. That will make things a lot easier for Tim. Otherwise he would have to make copies at his own expense. This way, everything is ready to be sent out.

yes, multiple copies of the info sheet, and don't forget to write your name on the back of the print too incase they get seperated. If you have some archival tape you could tape one to the back of each print.

So who brought the 4x5 enlarger on Ebay......mmmm (no not me).

erm, ahem, that was me...

I just picked it up last night. I did a little research before I bought it, but then did a little more reading after purchasing and read about the issues many people have with trying to track down the cams and focusing tracks for them, and how they pretty much don't work without them... turns out he had a complete kit, all three cones (for 50mm, 75mm and 135mm), PLUS all three (original) cams and tracks. He also had a box of bits and pieces, including two original (albeit glassless) neg holders (4x5, and what turned out to be 6x9, not 6x12... but they look like they'd be easy enough to fabricate), half a dozen or so replacement bulbs, NEW condensor lenses... So, all my fears put to rest... it's just a bit bigger than I expected, that's all, so it's going to have to stay at the new place rather than coming home then back again, so I won't actually get to use it for about another month :( ...maybe next exchange I can put some 4x5's in :P

Lucky you! I couldn't imagine having a 4x5 enlarger in the house.....I'd need some muscles to move it around (I have to setup my darkroom each time I print).

BTW......shameless plea here.....does anyone have a surplus 6x7 Neg carrier for a LPL C7700?

Me too at the moment, well, not entirely actually, my enlarger sits on its little stool in the kitchen, it's just the black-out and trays I have to set up. I'm planning to convert one of the sheds in our new place into a dark room, has an outdoor loo attached which has power and water, so it shouldn't be too hard... shame it's a rental though, or I'd really go to town!

Finished printing yesterday, I've got something special for you guys :D well hopefully. It's taken me the last few months to get working how I want, and printing the edition took 4 hours, even with an assistant.

Mine are printed. Went in last night to do the job and realised that I only had 9 pieces of paper left...... Today I managed to borrow some paper from a fellow APUG'r who lives close and managed to get them all printed. I am not yet sure whether I will get a chance to have them toned or not (I am still to try/learn toning....that bottle of KRST is sitting on the shelf calling out to me "Try me, try me"). If I get some spare time on Saturday, yes I will....other wise, I will have to send em off nakked!

Cheers

Steve gave me my fresh fibre paper on Friday night (thanks Steve) so I'll be doing some of the prints tomorrow morning, and the rest on Thursday or Friday night after the photography classes finish. Depending on how long it takes me, I'll probably drive up from Geelong and hand deliver them to Tim.

As sad as it sounds, I'm still tossing up which print to send around! My partner is dead set on one (she's a professional creative, so I always run past her for opinions), but she loves it for all the reasons I hate it, so we'll see...

hey all, it's been raining a bit in Melbourne and my letter box is not immune from getting water in it, so I recommend something to protect the prints from water such a a plastic pocket or something.

Tim,

My prints were posted this morning.

Seeing as you're not in my group, I've included an 11th print for you (I hope I counted right!). It's a small measure of thanks for your efforts in coordinating this.

Cheers

Carey Bird (who is looking forward to seeing what everyone else offers :) )

Did my prints this morning. Now for some very minor spotting, and I can send them on to Tim. Flattened of course.

I was in Sydney the last two weeks for audit so no time to scratch. Now back home. I think I know what neg to print but will have to set up a temp darkroom this weekend and get printing...

Have just finished my printing session. It was very enjoyable to be back printing after 3 years without a darkroom setup. The kitchen had to do tonight. With an enlarger I'd never used before, purchased off ebay. With old chemicals. Suffering from a bad cold. I even had to dig out the instructions for the f-stop pro to remember how to use the thing correctly.

It's a minor miracle they turned out at all! So out of practice ... sigh

Hopefully they'll look nice when dry in the morning and then I can prep for posting early next week.

Looking forward to sharing and seeing others in return.
