Will there be a source for the book in the USA, or will I need to order it from the UK?

Fleath,
I'll look into that - thanks.
Chazzy,
Not sure yet about a US retailer. All the books had to be delivered from Hong Kong to one address. I asked about multiple addresses but the price then rose too steeply to be viable. If I involve a US retailer I will have to arrange shipping, which will impact on price or profit obviously.

Hi everyone
Just a quick update as promised.
The Toning Book has been ordered and is now in production in the Far East.
The first review copies are due in a few weeks in 'early July' and once approved (hopefully) the rest of the production arrives by sea in London about 4 weeks later.
Books will be delivered to Silverprint in London. I will be away for nearly 2 months in Australia shortly afterwards so order fulfilment will not be delayed by my absence once the launch date has been agreed.
Overseas orders will NOT be subject to Silverprint's minimum order limit and the book will probably be made available through Silverprint's amazon shop, but I will post details whe they have been worked out.
Thanks to everyone for your support in this project. You requested it and I have arranged for 1000 copies to be printed. We still have a lot to sell to break even though so if you can spread the word it would be appreciated!
I will update details here when I know more and I am holding a mailing list here (http://www.timrudman.com/contact) for those who want to be notified personally, so please spread the word if you know of other groups/clubs/people who might be interested.
Many thanks
Tim

Dear Apug
I'm delighted to be able to bring you somegood news on progress with this book reprint.
The 3 advance copies have arrived and have been inspected and are excellent.
The rest are now on the way from the Far East and should arrive in London very shortly.
Silverprint will be announcing the 'official launch', which will be on September 1st with a launch event at Silverprint on September 4th, when I shall be talking with prints and signing books for those who come along. Details will be on the <<Silverprint site>> (http://www.silverprint.co.uk/)any day now and if you wish to come booking is strongly advised as space is limited.
I will notify all those on my <<book mailing list>> (http://www.timrudman.com/contact)as soon as copies are available to purchase and I anticipate that this could be well in advance of the launch.
I shall also include ordering details in my summer newsletter, which should be going out tomorrow to those on my mailing list.
Silverprint will be handling the bulk of the order fulfilment as I will be away soon after launch for 2 months. They have a well developed e-commerce facility and will ship the book anywhere in the world.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SILVERPRINT MINIMUM ORDER AMOUNT DOES NOT APPLY TO ORDERS OF THIS BOOK. This has been waived by Silverprint for this book.
I shall also soon be opening a Toning Book website to give glimpses, images and much more information about what is in the book. The site is NOT yet open but will shortly be at www.masterphotographerstoningbook.com (www.masterphotographerstoningbook.com)
Thank you all for your interest, advice and patience. Had it not been for your encouragement I doubt this would have happened.

Silverprint's website is showing the books as received and available for purchase. I put an order through a few minutes ago, so hopefully the system works properly and the minimum order drop and international shipping is smooth...
Yay!

I already got an email from Silverprint with the shipping cost and a request to verify. With that done, it should be on its way shortly to me. Thanks again Tim for doing this for those of us who never got a chance to have your book!

You beat me too it.
I have just sent this out to the mailing list ....
The Master Photographer’s Toning Book has arrived!
First things first - thanks are due:
Firstly I would like to thank so many of you who encouraged me to have a reprint of the book done. Without your encouragement it would not have happened. Now that it has, we have 1,050 privately financed copies so I hope you can help me to sell them! After you have bought one/some please spread the word.
I explored many printing options and in the end the original publisher, Aurum Press, came to my rescue and using their contacts and buying power secured a private reprint for me. So a big thank you to Aurum.
Thank you too to Silverprint of London, who offered to partner me in the venture. This is a good arrangement for us both and they will warehouse all the books and fulfil all the orders, which is good news as I shall be out of the country for extended periods. They have a well developed E-business and can take orders from and ship to anywhere in the world.
Finally, I would like to thank Silvershotz, who offered to share their mailing service with us to help reduce our shipping costs to you.
Next - the details, your questions and how to order:
Many of you offered to pay in advance, which I did appreciate enormously. However, I preferred not to take money until we had the product.
Price is the 2002 price of £25!
Availability is NOW.
There is no minimum number of books per order. Several of you asked.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Silverprint have dropped their minimum order sum for sales of this book.
There is no international distribution network to a bookseller in your town. Sorry about that but ordering through Silverprint in any currency is easy and efficient. Shipping cost is as low as we can get it.
The direct order link is http://www.silverprint.co.uk/ProductByGroup.asp?PrGrp=160 (http://www.silverprint.co.uk/ProductByGroup.asp?PrGrp=160)Please pass it on.
Shipping to anywhere in the world (but not beyond)
Launch event: For those in the UK there is a launch event at Silverprint on Saturday Sept 4th at 1.00.
I shall be there to show prints and sign books. RSVP to Silverprint as space in limited. Details at http://www.silverprint.co.uk/index.asp (http://www.silverprint.co.uk/index.asp)
A new website for the book at www.masterphotographerstoningbook.com (http://www.masterphotographerstoningbook.com)gives detailed insight into the contents and a few of the 365 images. I hope to expand it when/if time allows. Please pass it on too. If you use the American title you will also get to the site.
Once again, thank you for your interest!

I just submitted my order. I assume that the VAT charge will be omitted and that a whole bunch more for shipping will be added.

I was going to order a copy but they charge £21 for shipping to Finland! 21 pounds!! For a book?
Also the minimum order quantity is £100. Is there an other way to get this book?

No other way I know of (other than exhorbitant prices on eBay or Amazon). However, the £100 minimum has been waived for this book.

I'd contact Silverprint by phone or e-mail and check. There might be no way round this charge :(but this charge allows for a large order of goods up to quite a heavyweight which then makes it reasonable.
As Silverprint has agreed that this book will be shipped as one item it might be that the site's shipping charges which allow for a lot of items up to quite heavy weight has not been amended for this "one-off" agreement to deliver one book.
It is worth checking.

Mats, email Silverprint, or PM Martin Reed here on APUG. I believe they have waived their minimum order requirements for anyone ordering this book.
