Thanks but still no news from the person who deleted the thread nor why they did it. From where I am sitting the sponsors carry more weight here than the subscribers. Fair enough. If that is the way it is let them pay for the site. Personally I don't see the point in paying to have my contributions deleted.

Sorry Sean...the financial planets weren't in proper alignment this month so I could only subscribe for 6 months (+ paypal's cut + taxes).

How about adding an option to the subscription page? 'Buy a gift subscription for another member'.

I tried to pay for a subscription and was told "no such page". Does that mean I am an undesirable? Can someone pointme in the correct direction before I spend the money on junk, er camera stuff.

OK, I found the way and have submitted. Please ignore the above. Sean, I first tried to follow the link on the first post and it didn't work. I suggest replacing it with one which does or delete it and give directions to subscribe.

Last January I kept waiting for a PM to renew and never got it. Then, one day, I "slipped" back to "Member" status. Only after I contacted Sean did I learn that the "renewal notice" is sent to one's e-mail address.

My renewal is in January. Last year I got "dropped" for a couple of days because I kept expecting a renewal notice by PM. Only after inquiring did I learn that such notices are sent via e-mail.

Is it possible to change this so that we get the renewal notice via both PM and e-mail?

I would hope that everybody who takes advantage of this wonderful service (APUG) would be willing to support it in at least some measure. I have been a subscriber for two years now and would like to encourage anyone reading this thread that is a regular here and not currently a subscriber to help Sean and everyone else here to continue to provide you with a premium source for film photography support. Thank you Sean and thank you, new subscriber.
