Very interesting forum; I had to join! I recently purchased a used Leica M6 and will be shooting it on the street with a 50/1.4 Summilux. I do a lot of digital work with my Nikon system but don't want to give up on film. I hope I can contribute something interesting here as I become familiar with this camera (my first RF).

Wendy, I do not know what you do with your digital Nikon, but be warned, that a Leica for street photography is going to seriously hurt your desire to pick up the Japanese again.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
I've got two digital Nikon bodies- D700 and D3x. The D3x is set up with an Aquatica housing for underwater work. For low light, the D700 is wonderful. Neither camera works well on the street here where I am; I needed something discreet and really wanted the "film look" for work here. I'm in Kabul, Afghanistan. Lots of photo opportunities here- some images can be seen at http://www.wendythurman.com
Thanks again,
Wendy
