Iceland: West Fjords 2010
with Bill Schwab
August 30 - September 8

It's that time again and I have finally firmed up the plans for this year's Iceland adventure! We'll be doing much the same trip as the amazing journey last September with the inclusion this time of the dinner meal as well as breakfast. There are perhaps a couple other small changes still in the works, but the itinerary is now available.

Come join me on the photographer's adventure of a lifetime! Iceland is a unique, world of wonders and the West Fjords region, or Vestfirdir, is the most spectacular and remote region. Having done this trip last year, I can say without a doubt that you will experience and photograph a landscape of your dreams.

This is not a workshop - no class time, no critiques - just some serious, intensive exploring and shooting in what I truly believe to be the most wonderful and pristine place on earth to photograph.

More information HERE (http://www.northlightworkshops.com/tours/iceland/westfjords/index.html).

Hope you can join me!

As it turns out I'll be in Iceland just a couple of weeks prior to your trip. I had to bundle it with a trip to Sweden to make it worthwhile. We won't stay long enough to get to the West Fjords, but potentially Vestmannaeyjar, or Akureyri, as it turns out.
Both Heidi and I are fantasizing about coming with you next year. :)

That would be great Thomas! I hope you have a wonderful time during your stay. Akureyri is very nice and there is a lot to see not far from there as well.

I really loved the Vestmannaeyjar, wish I could go back... especially now with the volcano(s) spewing not far to the north!

I've been watching the news and dying to go see this! I'll bet the view of the plume on a clear day from Vestmannaeyjar is spectacular.

I suppose this webcam on Heimaey might show something if the clouds clear. I don't think it's pointing in quite the right direction right now though.

You could see it the other day from the Hekla volcano camera, but there isn't much visability today. I'm betting it is ash you're seeing in the view.

Just a short note to say that this trip is now full. Alternates will still be accepted in case of possible drop-outs.

Thank you!

Thought I'd add this "Trailer" of the recent trip to give an idea of what it was like. Just a little fun...
