Just bought a lot of 3 lenses to get the Minolta in the group. Also in the lot is a Vivitar lens in Pentax K mt. I didn't know Vivitar made "normal" lenses. Anybody have experience with this lens? Will it work like a Pentax "M" or "A"?

I've used the M42 version of Vivitar's f/1.7 50mm lens, and it's a nice little piece. I would expect it to be similar to the M42 version.
I'm not sure what you mean by "M" and "A," but it should work the same as any manual-focus K-mount lens.

It's likely to be a K lens, not a KA i.e. it will not work in program mode or shutter-speed priority on more modern Pentaxes. It should work fine in manual mode and aperture priority mode.
Test to be sure, but that's my expectation.
