Thou shalt take many photographs with any camera, medium, and process.
Analogue followers shalt not disparage digital followers except in jest.
Digital followers shalt not disparage analogue followers except in jest.
Thou shalt jest often and without malicious contempt... veiled or not.
Thou shalt accept thy hybrid brothers & sisters for I built this world to change and grow.
Thou shalt allow Mike 1234 to post in "real time" for he has learned his lesson (he "thinks"). :D

Amen

0101010101 binary = 341 decimal = 155 hex

So your point is????

I think he meant 1010011010, as the number of the beast in its true language.

The Halidic Commandments.

Thou shalt not fondle a D40.

Hey! I have a D40. And I like it very much. As does Ken R!

The Halidic Commandments.

Honour thy Nikon and thy Canon.

What about the others?
Just because I use Pentax doesn't mean I honor pentagrams!

Just that a straight forward binary sequence to indicate the idea of digital as this sort of basic programing is used in digital circuits. I certainly wasn't clever enough to think of rendering 666 in actual binary sequence form. I've bombed more than once onstage. ;-)

I shoot Minoltas and a 4x5 behemoth. So don't feel left out. I merely did not want to promote my own above others. And I did not want to be wordy, like mentioning Nikon, Canon, Minolta, Pentax, Olympus, Zuiko, Leica, Rollei, Wirgin, Zeiss Ikon, Zorki, Kodak, Yashica, Fujica, Vivitar, Mamiya, Bronica, Hasselblad, Contax, Ricoh, Sigma, Praktica, Konica, Sony, Linhof, Sinar, Calumet, B&J, Graphic, Seagull, Bessa, Lubitel, Toyo, Polaroid, Diana, Holga, Gandolfi, Cambo, Horseman, Voigtlander, Wista, Koni, Kiev, Jupiter, Industar, Hexar, Argus, Zero Image, Ebony and still a myriad of others.

Sometimes it does not behoof oneself to be all-inclusive.

Kodak is at 343 State treet, not 341. So close . The comon number is 1010011010 or 29A hex

I took the ellipsis at the end of "0101010101..." to mean it was an indefinitely repeating series of 0s and 1s. That wouldn't translate to 343 or any other number in decimal, just binary digits on and on and on, forever...

I believe that reading out loud the developing instructions for a film or the characteristics of a paper or focusing really hard on a beautiful photograph can result to a religious experience of variable validity.
On the other hand what one does on his knees in a dark red-lit confined space under the influence of chemical fumes is his own business.
One cannot escape the religious undertones that analog photography has in its ceremonies and practices (preparation, developing, printing), but also in the concepts of faith and hope (for the picture to come out alright, for film to continue being available).

Personally, as an aspiring zen buddhist, I like to see the whole thing as a mind clearing, living in the moment, absurd ritual.
