View Full Version : How do you go about naming a developer?

Say you come up with a nice little recipe, which is fair unique, and before you release a recipe for it, you'd like a punchy title... how would you come up with a name for it?
I was thinking along the lines of something like:
Athiril's Legendary Blue Thunder of the North.
But I'm not sure..
I think that might be one of the longer names out there!

Maybe you could work and "ol" in there somewhere...?
Thunderol!!

when reading patents, there really isn't a "name" for the recipe, so I make one based on ingredients or claims, and usually end in "fine" or "ol"
from my chart http://www.apug.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16472&d=1264753658
"superfine" 4,363,869
"promisol" 2,757,091
"H&W Control" 3,772,019
"acitol" 5,376,610
where can I find the instructions for "thunderol"?

Athirol.
I agree with David!
Athirol or Atherol. :D
Maybe Atherol X?
Some others are unprintable here or unmentionable. :D :D
One, called Urinol by others, suggests Tinkinol to me! ;)
Best wishes.

So, do you actually have a recipe to go with the naming? Just curious.

Quite a lot of suggestions to think about :)

I do actually, but there are a few variations I want to try, and something I want to confirm.

"Bruce"
But he's in Australia, so all of his formulae will be named Bruce. But I guess it will keep things simple.

no offense but Athol is about the worst name ..for anything
just sound it out and tell me it otherwise
...can't be worse than Aciphex, though
Legendary Blue.. sounds like a crappy amusement park water ride
Athiril sounds pretty good but it also kind of sounds like a disease
