Hello all.

My name is David and I live in the UK, the Midlands region.

Somehow I managed to stumble across the site while looking for info on Metz flashguns....! I couldn't quite believe it when I read it was a non-digital site.

OK I have nothing against digital but since doing a traditional B&W course in 2002 I find it so satisfying to see an image appear in paper in the darkroom (my garage). This, plus the fact I work all day with computers so I really want to get away from them at home.

Anyway I have been a hobbyist for the last 8-9 years but now I am looking more seriously into setting up my own portrait and wedding business.

I shoot mainly 35mm on a Canon EOS3 but have recently added a Mamiya RB67 ProS to my kit.

Should be nice to share views with others regarding film and chemical processes rather than be told how easy it is to do in Photoshop.....

Regards
Dave

Welcome on board to yet another Brit! We really seem to be coming out of the woodwork now. Oh, and what is this 'photoshop' of which you speak?

Welcome Dave!

I know what you mean about seeing that image emerge! It's way better than watching something refresh on the screen!

I think you'll like it here!

Welcome to the site, Dave.

We have a photo shop in the northwest too; it's very handy when I need to get hold of darkroom supplies!

All the best,

Frank

Welcome Dave from NEW England - I know, it doesn't really count. But anyway, it is always nice to greet another analog user.
We look forward to your posting some images soon.
