They work using B&W paper and a crude but effective mechanical dunk dip system of reversal processing. There's an APUG member who owns one which he hires out for events/parties etc, he posted images of the processing system.

there is a guy on ebay who's name is "photoboothman" who repairs and restores photobooths
i am sure he knows where to get everything that is needed. also
