A little OT, but it's cold outside and I'm in a whiny mood.

The folks across the street have installed AND lit their Christmas lights. Thanksgiving used to be a major holiday in the US; are they passing on the turkey and ham and sage dressing to partake of the candy? :pinch:

(Hey Sean, where's the smiley of someone pulling his hair out in rage?)

This is what you need to do.... :w00t:

I guess severing the neighbors connection to the El-grid is out of the question?

hey Fred, have you considered making this into a phot project documenting the people that does these stunts every year?

I have a picture in my head about these, but that might be biased stereotypes!
(only in america!)

I was thinking severing my neighbor's carotid artery would be my preferred response. :getlost:

Any carry laws or home castle laws in place where you live Fred?
We might get to watch you on TV!

Remember to tell onwatchers what developer to use for developing their negatives!!

But if I was tempted to put out lights (I'm not) this is my favorite display so far...

I bet that is a modest display, put up in protest to the massive overindulgent display at the neighbor's!
A good comment for sure.

Love it... That Santa guy really does have a great sense of humour!
Do remind me never to move in next door to you however... Carotid artery severing??

Its about the time the mailman has made his rounds in Europe, and few hours from now the same will be the case in USA.

NO SIGN OF ANY OF THE CAMERAS YET?

Nothing in the US of A.

I'd scream a slew of obsenities, but my voice is barely there due to my local pro team winning the MLS Cup (US soccer [football, futbol] club championship) last night - after 15 years of sheer torture.

UGH is all I can manage!

Apparently things seem to get lost when getting shipped to Tennessee! (http://www.medicaldaily.com/news/20101127/4243/missing-radioactive-rods-recovered-by-fedex.htm)

What's going on over there???

Apparently they been buzy looking for rods..... I'm not surprised they let a camera or two slip through........

Lets hope they start looking for cameras next week, now that they have this sorted out!

A camera joke to pass the time:

Q: Who should a near sighted salmon go to see?

A: A fish eye doctor!

If you saw a man drowning and you could either save him or photograph the event...what kind of film would you use?

Whatever I had in my camera at that moment, of course.

And if it was in the Arctic Ocean, it would be Polarrhoid, as you pointed out earlier.

I'm glad to see you're paying attention Fred.. But if you were in the middle of the Arctic Ocean I think film choice would be the least of your problems ;)

Steal away John... I stole it too!
