I am off to Combe Martin next week and would like to visit any ancient monuments, stones etc in the area for the purpose of taking pics. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. In fact, suggestions for any excursions in the area would be nice. TA

The nice thing (well one of) about Devon is that although everywhere looks a long way on a map you can travel between places quite quickly, so don't just restrict yourself if you have transport to the local area.

The megalithic portal (http://www.megalithic.co.uk/search.php) is a good place to look for the whole of the UK. Type Devon into the search and I'm sure you will be overwhelmed with places and subjects to shoot.
