Hi
Can anyone direct me or provide a link to any source of small size decalc lettering ? I need to find numbers (red colour, if possible) about 2-3 mm height to restore a camera dial (original numbers were erased...). Any alternative options are welcome.
So far all I was able to find are large (sometimes very large!) letters for cars and boats...
Thanks in advance
Joao

Letraset (http://www.letraset.com/craft/shopdisplaycategories.asp?id=57&cat=Letraset+Transfers) would be ideal, there were some colour sheets, but it would need a thin layer of lacquer over the top to protect it. Each sheet comes with a variety of Type sizes so that wouldn't be a problem.

Those transfer lettering like those by Letraset are harder to find nowadays.
Those times they were stocked by every graphic supplies shop are gone.

Joao,

there are also transfer- or such materials that are sold in blank sheets for ink-jet printing.

I have actually have a similar need. The back dial on a Pentax V spotmeter is calibrated for high-speed cameras.

What kind of lacquer would one use?

You can make new nameplates/front panels etc. on RC paper. Cut out and stick on.

Thanks a lot, Ian.
They have 3 mm numbers, one sheet of those letters will solve my problem. Some laquer or varnish will be used after (as mentioned above). The camera will not have an intense use, it is really more for a cosmetic purpose.
