Hi,
I received three more last week:

rai:beautiful distorted pinhole picture on Agfa portrait 160. I like it very much. Maybe I should use my capuccino can cam again
Crispin:another experimental one. It transports the mood of a holiday at the seaside. I love it.
Valerie:house for little birds, rising to the center of the skys. Nice frame. Just browsed to wikipedia to see what's it's name in german. Now I'm listening to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Progne-subis-001.ogg while viewing the picture and it looks even better.

I was very happy to receive hwv's card of the windows and bricked-up doors today. No details ...
O.K., here are the details, as far as I remember (I was too lazy to write this on every card again:whistling:):
I took this picture when working on the theme "door, gates or areaways". I am member of a local amateur photography group where we meet to discuss taken pictures from time to time. I just took a picture of a rather conventional areaway when I turned around ans saw the bricked doors at the other side of the street.
I changed the lens of my habla to 150mm sonar with kenko 2x teleconverter and put the camera onto the tripod. I had to wait a few minutes to get the moment when no car was in the way.

What else to say? I have to fetch my lab log:
Film developed in march 2010, Neopan Acros 120, Rodinal 1+50, 12 minutes at 20.
Paper used is Ilford, Developer is N113 (Calbe Fotoimpex) Grade 3, 8 sec.

I think it will please me more when lith printed. Maybe I will give it a try when pce21 is over and show it in the gallery.

Received Rai's interesting colour pinhole shot of his parents room. The colours and distortion really add to this photo.

Also received Laurent's card, an image full of reflections and so many other things to draw the eye. The glass structure has a nice centering affect with all the busy things around it.

My cards were sent a while back...I know not everyone comments on the cards, so if you haven't received mine by now, please let me know. I still have a couple left over that I could send in replacement.

Cheers.

An update:

Four more cards received since my last update.
(To be honest: three more received and one found between an older stack of mail, sorry about that...)

bwakel, Arkengarthdale, a wonderful name indeed, and a wonderful photo as well. The light seems perfect.
Laurent, beautiful detailed shot of a sewing machine. I don't know what I like more, the details and surface of the machine or the dust on it. Great shot.
hwv, the doors have left the building. Well captured, lovely tonality.
Oxleyroad, PCB and some fantasy, a great combination of shot and story. I can't say I have ever imagined flying around a board, but I have certainly seen the resemblance to a modern science-fiction city. Nice one.

I have finally managed to print my postcards last weekend. They are now flattening (or at least: they are undergoing a feeble attempt at being flattened), I hope to send them next week. Finally some progress, although not yet visible to you.

My postcards are printed finally! Sorry for being such a straggler! I have not taken a lot of pics since the move and have just started using the new to me darkroom. Had to redo some leaking plumbing first! Still have some light leaks in the room that will need to be taken care of. I'm addressing cards now and will mail tomorrow!

No problem! I am sure that the postcard will arrive! Anikin postcard was sent first to the island of Montserrat! My city is in Spain and his name is Montserrat ... like the island, after the post office sent it to me.

I received three new cards this week :

Valerie's Purple Martin House. Interesting view from a Brownie Hawkeye. The vintage look + low contrast makes the image almost irreal...

hwv's bricked doors. The image is almost abstract, with lots of details, and is nicely printed. I really like it !

Black Dog's Arrochar Forest 3 : nice view of a sculpture. Again, lots of details, but also a lovely bokeh on the background...

Thanks to you three !

Today I picked up the postcard of HWV with a nice frame and great tones. I remember the time of squatters ... when one door closes another opens!
