Access can be an issue without a sub but maybe someone can hack in and post a publicly accessible link?

Polaroid would still be around if there were enough people willing to pay for it. I hope the same doesn't happen to magazines.

Think the New Yorker is doing fine. Content, like most things, is worth what you pay for it.
