Ditto. The problem isn't finding a print now, but deciding which one to mail out :)
The first time I have EVER had that problem! colrehogan 11-22-2005, 07:27 AM Okay, You folks who have your stuff in the mail already make me sick. I still can't decide on a Neg. There is something wrong with each one I have shot for this.
Maybe I can get a good one over the Thanksgiving break.
I just haven't had the time to make a print yet! GRRR!!! I have to try and do this over the weekend. Forget Christmas shopping - there will be way too many people out anyway! :D John_Brewer 11-22-2005, 09:20 AM Okay, You folks who have your stuff in the mail already make me sick. I'm in the same boat Mark.
To make maters worse Carl's print arrived yesterday and Gerhard's today, i'm begining to thing i'm in the wrong league here :(
J I'm in the same boat Mark.
This boat is getting crowded :) Aggie 11-22-2005, 10:07 AM I have the paper coated, the negative picked out, but I want to wait and see what the latest round of 4x5's I have shot yield. I will have them printed by the end of this weekend. (I say this with my fingers firmly crossed behind my back.)
BTW I received Gerhards print yesterday, WOW. I'm with Alan and Mark I am really out of my league. I hope by doing this I can pick up some good pointers from the experts. What I received when I was taught this process can be written on a 4x6 note card. The rest was self taught. gbock 11-22-2005, 12:45 PM To make maters worse Carl's print arrived yesterday and Gerhard's today, i'm begining to thing i'm in the wrong league here :(
John,
Not in the least! I just stopped by your web site, and your Distortion series is fantastic. I love the concept AND the execution!
Gerhard David A. Goldfarb 11-25-2005, 05:30 PM I got Carl's today. I've got a neg picked out for mine and just need to order a few more supplies before I can print. reellis67 11-26-2005, 03:48 PM I've been having good light for printing the last few days so I am ready to print mine tomorrow. The working prints I did today turned out nice so I think I should have my final prints in the mail sometime next week...
- Randy gbock 11-26-2005, 07:36 PM I received Carl's print today, a pt/pd print of the Minster Church in Kent, England: http://www.apug.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=9590&cat=500&ppuser=5613 (a very good scan, in my opinion). It's an absolutely beautiful image and printed to showcase the strengths of pt/pd: a very long tonal scale with details in both the shadows and highlights. I'm very happy to have this print in my collection and I will in fact mat and frame it. Thank you, Carl! CarlRadford 11-27-2005, 04:47 AM and as I have said I will mount and matt in the future - using your system - still safe in the nowledge that they should arrive through the post ok!

I have a couple more to print, but I feel very insecure about sending them. Be kind people when you get them!
Art. MenacingTourist 11-29-2005, 12:51 PM I managed to get one semi-acceptable print on Friday and two complete failures. I chased the light all day and have't seen it since. It's snowing as I write this so I'm going to try and find someone with a UV tanning unit... photomc 11-29-2005, 01:43 PM Well for better or worse, my prints went out yesterday...except for Art's ... would be happy to send you one, but need your address. Depending on what you're printing, you can come over and use my plate burner if you want.
I am developing my VDB's in the kitchen sink with larger trays in the bathtub.
No darkroom yet, but I have everything else.
If you're doing any other process you'd have to bring your own gear.
You could pick up your 120 reels then too. ;) donbga 11-29-2005, 07:12 PM Well for better or worse, my prints went out yesterday...except for Art's ... would be happy to send you one, but need your address.
Attention Group 4. Your prints were mailed today!
Thanks,

You are too kind!
Evenings and weekends work best for me. When do you have time?
Thanks!
Alan.

There's a Maverick on the corner, so getting beverages to keep us up all night won't be a problem. ;) photomc 11-29-2005, 07:52 PM I did PM you my address a few weeks ago. I will PM again.

Sorry, it figures...have not been getting all of my PM's lately...must be on someone's list :o Will get the the mail...Thanks, Snowing heavily all through the expected two hours of possible sunlight again.
Where did I put that greenhouse lighting unit, I wonder? It's not in the greenhouse... donbga 11-30-2005, 10:07 PM Don't fret Mark, I just got lucky (or maybe all the testing Lee had me work on is starting to pay off) but I had made a negative that prints well with the Ziatypes as well as on silver. Just finished washing the last prints and they are drying. Now to get them ready to send out this weekend and in the mail. Made 20+ prints in the past 3 days, silver and alt. process...more production than I have ever had.
Hi everyone,
I just received Mike's ziatype in the mail today and it was great! Looks like his hard work testing has paid off in spades!.

I received Mike's print today as well. What a beautiful ziatype. I love the neutral gray tones.
Gerhard I alreasy have the print , but yesterday I find a new great paper to print on. So I make another print for this exchange. I will ship mine at last on monday photomc 12-01-2005, 08:01 AM Don and Gerhard, Thank You very much for your kind comments. Also received Gerhard's print yesterday and all the comments about it have been well deserved. Such a nice warm feeling to it, and a great illustration of how a 4x5 print can work as a contact print. |
