Uwe's wonderful images arrived in BKK today - my first piece of mail in ages.

I love this type of subject matter also - the composition and printing are superb. I agree with Trond - a moving image that has me thinking also.

Dear, Laurent, Rüdiger, Trond and Nanette,

thank you for you positive comments. I am very glad that you enjoy my card - this is what postcard exchange is made for.

Another quick question: Do you print all your cards from the same negative OR do you print a different negative for each card?

I am SO VERY MUCH looking forward to this... :)

Entirely your choice.
I print the same, others have printed different images - no hard and fast rules, just print as you wish.

But above all else - have FUN!! :)

Non of the above, I print multiple cards from several negatives. So this time (as in the last round) I printed from four negatives, 10 prints each.

Whatever option you choose - it will be the right one.

Cheers

Well, the first card to hit Japan has arrived and it's from Uwe! Like the others have mentioned, it is a beautiful image that gives you something to think about. I'm surprised at the condition of the cross -- it's weathered time well, and in fact, it would be great to see it prominently featured (another card perhaps?). Thanks!

Uwe's card arrived in Canada as well, thanks! The scene really connected with me emotionally and the tonality and contrast is just great too. The glossy RC paper came through really well too.

Yesterday I received my first card for this round. Jim Roollinger took a very nice shot of the Cloud Gate. Interesting view!

Jim Rollinger's The Bean came with the mail today. The kids playing makes this image for me.

Thanks,
Trond

I received Uwe's card two days ago. A quiet and beautiful print, excelling on both emotional and technical sides.

This week, I have received the best card of round 24 until now (well, yes, it's the first card I've received...):

J Rollinger's "The Bean", an interesting image, with all its reflections. The kids playing complete the picture, giving it a sense of scale and a human factor.

Sorry guys. My local area has had some bad flooding and I haven't been able to get to the post office. Seems the *big* flood has been averted here in Bangkok, so hopefully I'll be able to get to the local mall (minus the water??) later this week.

After a weekend of writing postcards I dropped them at the post office today. :) Now let's see how long they need to knock on your door.

Cheers

If they can do that, then you must be a powerful wizard indeed...:D

If they can do that, then you must be a powerful wizard indeed...:DThey only do it when you are not at home - they are kind of shy :whistling:
