Hello, I am a new member, happy to have found this site, by accident just stumbled onto it. I like what I see and read. Never had time for serious work and or developing my own prints but recently purchased a beseler 23c enlarger which came with the add on dichro color head. I am not presently interested in doing any color work so will keep it for use at some time in the future. Many of my development related questions have already been answered in previous posts but I look forward to hearing from more experienced darkroomers as I begin my journey into the essence of bringing my images to life. Because of the color head the lamp and cap for the 23c were not with the unit at purchase so I am looking for a replacement and have checked various suppliers and havent had much luck. Any suggestions? I look forward to being a part of this great site. Thanks in advance. T

the condenser head for my old 23c uses a 111a bulb. I think that I got my last one at B&H or Adorama. They last very well but they will only burn out at the most inconvenient times so it is good to keep a back up

thanks for the bulb info, my problem is the cap is gone as well. Do you know of any beseler used parts dealers that I might contact?

Hi Terry!
Have you checked out Beseler's website?
http://www.beselerphoto.com/Product_Catalog/product_catalog.html

They have an 800 number you can call to check the cost of the parts you need...maybe you can buy them there, too...don't know for sure. Anyway, it might be a place to start.

thanks jeanette, i checked out beselers website already and found it to be pretty lame. their adobe download is dated 2000 so wasn't much help. i emailed their tech support and can hopefully get some info on pricing. i will follow up with a phone call as well. by the way i like your work, peeked into your gallery. i will be printing a lot of landscape shots too, i am a weather and sky type. seek on. t

Terry,

The dichro colorhead that came with your beseler is not for doing color work. It is for black & white enlarging. The color dials allow you to add different amount & types of contrast to your printing. Very useful. So you probably have all the parts you need to get started. Good luck'
