that's not even twenty years before i was born there. by 1970 few traces of the destruction were left. hats off before those who turned all this into the great city warsaw is again!

if you're ever in warsaw, don't miss the brief 3D simulation of a flight over the city in 1945, in the museum of the uprising, puts albums like this in perspective

--with captions in Polish, but most of them are street names or the names of buildings, so if you happen to know the names of the streets in Warsaw, you can probably get the gist of them, even if you don't read Polish.
