Since it has been a couple of weeks I need to remind all those Sydneysiders that our inaugural meet is on this Saturday. Please all come along and bring some gear.
Large Formatters Meet – and anyone else just keen on film
Place: Balls Head Reserve (adjacent to the car park), Waverton
Time: Saturday 12 September at 1.00pm
Options: bring some gear to show off, a wee drink, and lunch (optional)
I am intending to fire up the barbecues - hope they work - and put on a gourmet sausage sizzle. I will bring an esky with ice - just to store the film stock of course!
See you all there.
Have a great day, you crazy Sydneysiders. I hope you get a good turnout and nice weather. :)
Forecast looks good! Yesterday the high was 21c, today 25c and the latest ABC bulletin says up to 30 in some parts. NO EXCUSES!
I'm coming. Not a LF user but very keen to see the goings on!
I don't know why those crazy Melbournians don't want to turn up - its only a 10 drive. If you leave at 3am, you'll make it! If you do, I will guarantee you free booze and a free nights stay somewhere!
Frontdrive, it will be good to see you. As far as I'm concerned anyone who can spell the word "filum" is welcome. If you have some odd film gear then please turn up with it.
Looking forward to seeing as many as possible.
Enjoy yourselves down there. Hopefully you will get a much better turnout than the most recent attempt at a get-together up here! Almost tempted to come down to the smoke for the weekend...
Today was great, thanks to everbody for coming along and making it a fun day.
Tony, thanks for the snags and the beer.
I second that Jeff. Thanks to Tony for the impetus, the Coopers and the sausages and to Nuno for taking charge of the BBQ to ensure the snags didn't burn while we chatted and checked out the gear.
One group photo below and I'll post a few more in the Workshops and Get Togethers Gallery.
Thanks to all. A super friendly and welcoming bunch. It was well worth making the visit to see what all were up to!
I would love to attend and meet you all, but It's just a small matter of 11,000 miles.
