Been up at Park City working on the Sundance thing for American Movie Classic. Between shoots we watch main street out the window, and comment on the "parade of cool".

It has been interesting to live here and have watched the festival evolve from something fairly interesting, into basically a carnival. The core of it is still there, but the hawkers and gawkers now set the tone.

So far as notables go I've shot Woody Harrleson, Colin Farrell, and Amy Redford.

I met a pretty interesting photographer that works for Corbis, and another big time one, whos name I can't remember... all digital though. One thing to note- none of these big deal photographers likes to talk gear. They are pretty much about results. I showed some 8x10 contact prints to a few people. They were impressed to say the least. Analogue is still absolutely viable, and easily holds its own against anything out there, by anybody, so since I prefer it, there isn't a reason to doubt.

It's nice to feel a bit vindicated after suffering the abuse of amateurs. I have decided that most of the loudmouths operate in a vacuum. Instead of art and craft, (for that would take thinking) they like to hear each other talk, and mostly discuss computer tricks, magic bullets, and other things of miniscule substance, that have little to do with photography.
