Yesterday I realized how much of my life is wasted matching my socks after the wash. So I threw them all away and went out and bought 1 dozen identical pairs of white cotton socks. Now they just all go in the same drawer, and it doesn't matter which two I pick. I estimate saving enough time to make one additional negative every two weeks. I am constantly in awe of my own mental prowess.

you know you could save even more time if you just never wore socks at all. although you would need to factor in the need to replace your shoes every two weeks.....

I wear black socks, so I can always make a pair, I had so many odd socks at one time I thought about getting one of my feet amputated !!

what's wrong with wearing pairs of different socks? I don't see the problem with that?

I used to request 30 pair of identical sock for christmas each year. At the time, I worked a very manual job and went through sox easily in 12 wearings, so it worked out well. Sterted everynew year with a month's supply of fresh, perfectly matched sox, and the old ones went to the rag pile.
