Filmdate 201208- Willy's Bar

Went to Willy's last night for the first time. It's a classic little bar about 3 blocks from my new home. Drank Amber Bock and played pool with some friends.
After a couple of hours a really interesting bar fight broke out. The ruckus started as some kind of altercation between a barmaid and patron, and quickly evolved into a sort of bar fight version of "crack the whip" with the end person of the equally divided crowd trying to pull the instigators apart, going down the shuffleboard table.
Moments before, I was thinking how cool it would be to bring down the 2D and do portraits of some of the regulars. Maybe I could build a cage, like that guy that photographs polar bears.
No hangover, as I didn't drink much. Lost all three games of pool.
Plans for today include starting a batch of pork jerky, and working on finishing the set up of my wood shop, so I can start making contact frames soon.

| | I would think the cops would have some great pics of them after the fight, taken down at the local jail. Or maybe at the hospital. Is this why Fuji put crash bars in front of some of their cameras, to protect the lenses during bar brawls? Just wondering... paulie |

| | I'll bet with a Speed Graphic and a pocket full of #11's you could have made some great action photographs. Dave |

| | Ha! I haven't seen a bar fight in a long time, but they were as common as green grass in the mining town I grew up in (Flin Flon, Manitoba fyi). Moving in to take a photo would have been a sure fire way to get a smack in the head |
