well, i bought a film slitter to cut down 35mm film
seeing i have a bunch of it that was intended to be shot by my 110 camera.
i shot a bunch of 110 last weekend
and pulled the cn film out of it in the dark on sunday, and its ready for me to process ...

THEN
i too a utility knife and cut the seams to remove the lid so i could familiarize myself with the whole
deal (murray kelly here has a great image set showing the whole deal thanks murray ! )

well, i got 1 open a few days ago, but lost part of it, so i went into the dark and grabbed the 3 empties
and the blade and started in on it ...
by the end of the whole ordeal, i got them apart, some i messed up,
and i stabbed myself 3 times.

im gonna use a dremm'l next time

Stabbed yourself? yikes! So will you be doing 110 often? Looks cumbersome to me.

Thanks for the pointer to Murray's set of images. I'm sure that will be helpful when I'm ready to give this a try.

I sacrificed one fresh cartridge so far. That is to say... the cartridge wasn't sacrificed, as it is re-usable, but the film inside is ruined. Didn't stab myself in the process. I guess there's a big difference between handling a sharp knife in darkness and handling same in broad daylight.
