    John,
As always, that is some nice work that you've made available there. I was a bit disappointed to see photos of Rocky Point Amusement Park in the "ruins" section. I didn't know it had closed. I have fond memories of a weekend there in the mid 80s... included a quahog extravaganza with family at some huge dining hall nearby.
Best of luck inn your charity work! I'll see how much I have left after Uncle Sam is done having his (their) way with me next month.

    hi chris

thanks for giving my gallery look, for the kind words !
yeah i used to go to rocky point as a kid and was really sad
when it closed. the last time i went when it was an amusement park
they hosted flock of seagulls and the fixx ( in the end, they usually had bad 80s metal-hair bands )
the park was on its way downhill at the time ... we could kind of feel it .....
it is hard to believe it was an amusement park for about 100 years - there used to handfuls of them
in southern new england but they all closed their doors around the same time, and riverside park ( now 6flags )
came into popularity. you made me chuckle " quahog extravaganza " sounds like rhode island !
it must have been the shore dinner hall .. " the world's largest shore dinner hall"
i think it seated 10,000 or some unimaginable number. all you could eat clamcakes and chowder for like 10$ ...
it is where grover cleveland made the first transcontinental telephone call ...

good luck with your taxes !
    john
