clothes pins ... in color

yesterday i put some clothes pins on a sheet of hand coated photo paper ... i left it in the overcast afternoon "sun"
all night and this afternoon around 1pm (sunday) i brought it inside, again, after being left now in the morning overcast "sun"
i scanned the image and posted the black and white scan in the gallery ...
since about 3oclock i have been playing with it.
i added tint and multiplied it, from 1 4-square to nearly 900 of them
and i grabbed a few 4 squares or a little more than 4 squares out of the giant mess of them.
i am not much into computer art, i kind of dislike images where it is a giant inference pattern of "the same image"
and think it is probably one of the most boring things anyone can do ... but somehow i found myself enjoying what i did
and wanting to make lots of different clippings from this big thing. it isn't so much the multiplied image that i thought was interesting
but the mistakes, the patterns that don't go together, and mismatched things ...
i have been bitten by the bug of entropic photography over the lastyear. i use cameras i can't focus, i use paper and film that
sometimes have a mind of their own in chemistry that seems somewhat random, and i am enjoying the process
of having no idea and very little control over the end result.
photographers always try to become a master over the materials.
zonesystem, filters, special development processes
tailor making negatives to fit their paper
knowing exactly what fstop to put their lens to get exactly the DOF they want &c
sometimes that is a good thing, but sometimes it is more fun just to let what is going to happen, happen, and enjoying the ride.
