i have been doing hand colorings that i can't post here in my apug gallery.
they aren't as sophisticated as eddie's beautiful hand colored photographs. he uses oils and charcoal
and ink and pencil and creates a masterful photographic print. what i am doing is over on dpug.org.
it is half in the analog world ( i shoot it on a negative ) and the other half, well, i use modern techniques to color it.
i am new at this and teaching myself how to do it.

my latest are a series of photographs looking down towards a main street in one of the local towns here in rhode island.
the mainstreet, was booming in the 1970s and like most main street, central business districts, it kind of died when
the suburban malls drew all the shopping from the local mom + pop stores. it went through a long decline filled with coffee shops
and antique stores and now is full of boutique shops that hopefully will stay alive ... so far so good ...

anyways i figure with photography these days, it is like 1900 all over again, so i am doing what i can
to give an olde tyme feel
the photographs were made with a delmar 4x5 box camera some sheet film processed in coffee
and some colors ..
