Hello all,
Some of you may not know who I am so I’d like to introduce myself. A few years back I took a wet plate coarse at John Coffers, “camp tin type”. I realized at the time there were few people supplying the wet plate community with equipment, so I decided to go for it and opened up shop. Since then I have quit my “real” job and have been supplying 19th century photographers full time. My most recent endeavor was to start a website and if you like you can check it out at blackartwoodcraft.com. I just added a couple items to the site that include a contemporary plate case and a camera case. I have also been working with The Process Historian at the George Eastman House on replicating a couple of wet plate cameras that will be offered this winter 2009. If anyone has any questions, comments or suggestions you can contact me through my website.
Regards,
Steve
