since you got it for free, why not contact dave edwell in leica new jersey and see if he can sell you the part?

Thanks for the advise and the picture. I made a start for making the missing part, but in the mean time someone sold some parts for an V35 on e-b%y. So sinds then I'm happily working with my V35.

Why not contact Leica?
They were extremely helpful when I had a problem with one. One guy works with them servicing etc and knows them inside out. They might well have the bit you need/ It's worth a try.
