Here you can find answers to questions about how the board works. Use the links or search box below to find your way around.
In order to upload images to Gallery, you must agree to the following rules:
refrain from posting any images that have been manipulated digitally
such as converting color images to black and white, photoshop filtering
tricks, etc. Also no multi-media/mixed media hybrid
images or hybrid images in general, this includes digitally enlarged
negatives which are then contact printed (see our sister site hybridphoto.com if
you are interested in sharing such work). All images posted should be a
representation of 100% traditional work, typically negative scans
or print scans produced from a 100% traditional workflow.
The uploaded image should be the best representation of the actual final print and nothing more. We still accept neg scans in the galleries. We accept that some adjustment of contrast, brightness and sharpness may be needed to match the physical print and, for negative scans, to approximate a straight print.
All images are the
copyright of their respective owners.
You may not use any of the images in the APUG Gallery for any purpose without the permission of the copyright holder.
Any images found to break these rules will be removed with no warning. Anyone who uploads an image that violates our rules could be banned from using the Gallery without any prior notice.
In the case of violation of our policy, we may share any and all information we hold on the user concerned with any interested 3rd parties. Child Pornography related issues will be reported to legal authorities without exception.
If you believe one of our members has uploaded images to APUG.ORG that break these rules, please use the 'report image' link so we can take appropriate action.
If somebody is using a picture that you uploaded, we suggest that you contact the individual who posted it. Unless the image violates our policy, we're not able to remove images if you don't own the copyright of this image.
As a general rule, do not post images in the APUG Gallery, if you are not comfortable having others viewing them.
