    help needed with pictorico

    Hello,
I've used this procedure for making digital negatives for silver printing:
    http://www.philippejimenez.net/Neg_num_photoshop_cs.php
I got good results with cheap transparency film, but the media had an annoying pattern (the coating is sticky and lay down in small stripes).
Then I tried with pictorico ohp, but now i get horrible stains (like 1-2mm large ink dots); i guess the printer is using too much ink. Anyone could give me some suggestion?
Ah btw the printer is a stylus photo 1290 (same as 1280).
Anyome has tried the new r800? I am considering about getting a new printer, as my old one has also some banding that I cant eliminate in any way.
    Thanks!

How long are you letting the inks dry?

From what I've heard second hand, the R800 isn't the best printer for digital negatives for UV based processes since the inks are some what different than the Ultrachrome inks used with the Epson 2200, 4000, & 7600. If you are seeking a replacement desktop printer the 2200 would be my choice. The 4000 is also a nice printer to consider.

    Good luck,

    Don Bryant
