Epson R2400 or R1800 for digital negatives?
I'm considering to buy an A3+ ink jet printer. Of course I'd use it for regular photography printing, but I would also make large digital negatives for my alternative photo prints. I've read of many people successfully using the "old" 2200 printer for this purpose. The R1800 seems to be very similiar to the 2200. The R2400 seems to have new (better?) inks. Also, do the "pizza wheels" create trouble on these new newer printers? Are their transparency prints suitable for UV contact printing? (it shouldn't matter, but I don't use an UV unit - I just expose under sunlight). Which one you would suggest to buy?
Thanks

Thought I would point you to another post about this issue from the beginning of June. So far on the Alt Process List there hasn't been any new info on these printers.
