Ongoing: The new Epsons & PDN

    Hi all,

I'm about ready to buy a printer. I'm leaning towards a 2400 - but I'm VERY concerned about the zillions of possible problems that can arise. I know the 2200 works, but the prices are still incredibly high for them (when you can find them not refurbished). I can also pick up a 4000 for $1.4k. I'm considering that as well.

So, everyone, when you upgrade to the new 2400, 4800, etc - please let us know how it goes, how it changes your workflow, etc.

    Thanks,
    Adam

    adam,

this is an analog forum. you might get a coherent answer on a forum that talks about *igital equipment. Pls consider this in the future

    thanks,

Adam, go to www.apug.org and you will find this:

Adam, no biggie, you just needed to go down one further into the "Gray Area" to ask this question and not directly in the Alt Process area. I also suggest joining the Yahoo! Groups PDN group.

Would a moderator please move this to the Gray Area? Thank you.

    Hello Adam.
Contact Roy Harrington at this e mail address, roy@harrington.com or visit his website www.harrington.com. He does a lot of printing with Epson printers. He designs rips for them and all. He could offer advice to your questions.
    Good luck with your photography.

At $1.4k I would buy a colour head for my Durst 138S, and still have plenty of money left over for film.
