I'm sorry if my post sounded flippant. My assumption was that it wouldn't be a matter of version control but one of writing entirely different apps for different 'platforms' or APIs. I have no idea of what is required between the two versions and or what the next will bring and when.
I do know what its like to have to build for many environments and for only one.

I downloaded your script and printed the step tablet. First problem I noticed is you are using an uncommon font, therefore I had to click "yes" to use a default font for each new cell created (there are a lot of cells!). You may want to change to a more common font like "New Times Roman".
I noticed your profiling method is very much like another I've seen, but automated. Here is a link for the other method I was reading about (LINK).
Currently I have my supplies on order for printing Kallitypes, and hope to be practicing within a week. I'd be more than happy to share my results with you from using your script.
When I start I'll be using a Epson R800, so I hope I won't have any density problems like have been reported from others, but time will tell.

If i wish I had found out about that on friday. I did some B&W prints over the week-end. It may be a couple of weeks before I do some more but I'll gladly test your script. I currently have an awesome curve that works for my prints. I wonder if your script can improve it.

It can make a chart which you can print as a digital neg.
Print using your prefered process.
Then scan the result.
Run the script agan, analyzing the (cropped) scan.
The script will create a saveable curves layer.
Applying this saved curve to other images before making a digital neg should, if your wet process is consistent, deliver images of optimal tonal range.
This is certainly in beta, feedback would be most appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to write/post this. I am looking forward to trying it as soon as i can. Yes, I will post my results as you requested.

I tried this some months back. After I would try to autoprofile the scan that I made I kept getting an error and wasn't able to work past that stage. Perhaps others will have better luck.

I'm ready to try it this week-end. When I use the script, it generates a picture 16 inchx16 inch at 72ppi. I normally print at 360ppi on my epson.
If i change the resolution, the print size is now 3.3 inchx3.3 inch.
that is kind of small to scan later on.
What should I use and do?
