"captured on digital -digital output to traditional photopaper " As long as we include hand coated paper for alternative processes as traditional photopaper, I think you have it pretty much on target.
The use of inkjet negatives is very popular for alternative process folks.

In the alt-process exchange I received a kallitype that started with digital capture, so there are certainly people doing that here, and I think it's to be encouraged.
Many of the color shooters here who use LightJet/Chromira/Lambda have felt a bit out of the loop, and I think it would be good to have a place where they feel included too.

This is very exciting news Sean. If we can attract the same level of cameraderie and knowledgable contributors as here at APUG, it can really drive our understanding forward. I do think sights ought to be kept high aiming for excellence as opposed to seeking mass growth centred around first time casual users. Quality not quantity - there will be enough migration by osmosis to the site. Cream rises!
I regard Colour management an integral part of any photography with a digital element and feel it vital this is included, otherwise endless headaches will prevail - equivalent of all singing from same hymn sheet, thus able to constrain some of the many variables. Correct colour management allows output of image files onto different media with confidence - inkjet, lambda, lightjet or the digital enlarger brigade.
Sharpening is also a must and needs to be included.

ok, well i've been stuck into the hybridphoto dev for about 4 days straight now. Never underestimate tweaking! I am very close now and I estimate a good 5-7hrs or so of final tweaks and config setting adjustments to get the first build of the site up. thanks
