I was rooting for the All Blacks and was greeting my teeth the whole of the second half. It was that close. Phew, after so many years of waiting NZ finally won their second WC.
On a sadder note, I was flipping the TV channels between the Rugby WC Final and the Malaysian (my country) MotoGP race which unfortunately saw the passing of Marco Simoncelli, in a horrific accident. RIP Super Sic.
Could you not have done it without me having to sit on the edge of my seat throughout? Congratulations and well deserved. I almost cooked up a pot of chillie or a smoked fish pie in respect of good Kiwi friends who would have been devouring their favourite All Black test match kai at the time.
It wasn't the glorious, free-running, rampaging rout we were all hoping for (in fact I thought it was a pretty dour effort by the All Blacks), but a win is a win is a win and Les Bleus are to be congratulated too on a powerful, courageous game.
And congrads due here also. As for the rugby, thank you France for making it a worthy final
