Nah! Barry's the official APUG UK weather arranger (although Manchester's weather might be too much for even his mighty powers!)
The destination is important, but so is the journey

    A quick heads-up...

The Met Office has an early severe weather warning in place with a 50% likelihood of disruption owing to heavy / thundery rain in northwest England on Saturday.

Just thought I'd mention it...!

    Ooh-err, noted.
My wife (Joolz) appears to have spotted a shopping opportunity, so I may have to attend regardless of photo weather possibilities - I'll text accordingly!
Thanks for the update (but I'm unsurprised...)

There's a great pre-owned (read second hand) camera shop on Dale Street. One of the largest selections of cameras outside of Ebay A must for your wife Aynsley

Yep, that's the Real Camera Co run by Jem Klime and well worth a trip but leave your purse at home otherwise you will be going home with it empty.
Hope the weather picks up in Manc Mr B. Tis lovely oop here on the Western Isles. The sun shining bright and I'm just off to stroll down to our village's beach for a little meditation.
BTW; if you get a chance, come up next year fro the Heb Fest. Brilliant photo opps there. Oh, and to the Lewis Highland Games this weekend just in the next village of Tong - lots of heavy events there - tossing the caber and everything.

...one of us with interest in cameras is QUITE enough, thanks! - and she has her own "shopping" focus anyway...

There's absolutely no need to rub it in! Now you've moved north you're just envious of Manchester's mediterranean climate. Any more of that and I won't give you a ride in my gondola!

Sounds like a plan! This year was supposed to be a major Scottish photo tour (until my bank manager's hysterical laughter intervened!). Next year, it's got to be done!

I've just checked the Met Office again and the forecast for Manchester tomorrow is "piddling-down all day" (I'm paraphrasing a little!).

I'll see what it looks like tomorrow morning, but images of drowning saxophonists weren't quite what I had in mind...!
