Bulk buy - De Vere ELH 300w 120v
When I'm next in the UK, which should be April, I'm planning a bulk purchase of these lamps for my 5108 De Vere.
Last time (2-3 years ago) I got the price down to between £3-£4 by buying a complete pack. I don't know yet what deal I can get but they would be under £9 inc VAT & carriage, less any additional discount for volume.
If anyone else is interested let me know by posting on this thread.

I'm interested. What size is a complete pack?

The pack size may depend on where I buy from, last time from memory it was a dozen. These came as a pack/brick from the US where they are made, and my UK supplier was prepared to give me a good discount on complete packs. (Otherwise they have small no's of a niche product on their shelves).
We can split packs if there's enough people. I'm looking to secure sufficient lamps to last me at least 5 or 6 years and hopefully longer.

I'll take a full pack of 12. I got my 5108 working over xmas and did think about where I would get replacement bulbs.
Thanks for solving the problem.

Roger,
If you need lamps in the short term, try RS components:

I'm sure these are the bulb in my 504 with Multigrade 500 head. I would be interested. Thanks.

Keeds,
In the 5108 there are four of the lamps, presumably as two sets of lamps connected in series to accommodate UK mains voltage. The ILFORD MULTIGRADE 500 service manual I found suggests two lamps.

If you have the standard 500W transtab, the lamps for the 504 heads are the 12V/250W ELC types. Does the Multigrade 500 use the transtab?

I think the Multigrade 500 head is a separate system; with the disclaimer I've never used one.

Just checked. Yep the Ilford Multigrade 500 uses 2 x 300W 120V ELH
