Photo related work in the UK?
So after some serious travel and finally getting my my EU paperwork secured here in Poland, I will be moving to England on a one way ticket with $500 USD in my pocket, film camera in tow... and I am going to need to find some work, pronto!
On the off chance that someone here on APUG knows of anything, I was hoping for some job hunting suggestions, maybe you know of a photo store hiring, or even somebody who might need an assistant?
Also, any suggestions of photography clubs or places I may be able to network, or even just some good advice would be most helpful!
My plan is to head to London July 26th, however I'd be most willing to travel just about anywhere else in the UK if it increased my chances of finding photo related work.
Any advice would be most appreciated... thanks!

$500USD is barely enough for a day or two of living in London... :O Also may want to get that changed into £s no one takes USD

You may change your USD$ in Pounds and then make photocopies :-)

lol yes it is very little money. Hence the need for work immediately ;-)

There will be a few thousand students just finished their Photography degrees looking for work, particularly in London
Snappy Snaps employ quite a few people and have a number of franchises in London, they do employee people from all backgrounds.

Why London? Everyone heads there. There is a lot more of England to choose from.
I can't agree with Paulie's post above (although he has a right to his opinion). I think everyone in the world should be free to move where they like. I also think we need more people with the positive attitude to sacrifice everything they have and work hard for a fresh start, not fewer.
Also if you start limiting people coming into a country then you should also stop people leaving. Or is emigration ok?

I thought the Saxons were like the Normans; they just sort of invited themselves. Only earlier.
