Shadow Of the House @ MFA (film about Abe Morell)
I'm a documentary addict, and this is one of the best I've ever seen. And, on top of being a beautifully made film, the subject is one of my favorite photographers, Abelardo Morell. If your in the Boston area, I strongly encourage you to try to make it to the MFA for a viewing. Here are the details, from a promo postcard I picked up at the museum:
Shadow of the House - Photographer Abelardo Morell
a film by Allie Humenuk
Sunday, November 30th at 12.15pm and
Thursday, December 11th at 4.30 pm (Q+A to follow with the filmmaker)
The quote on the postcard from Bo Smith, Director of the film program at the MFA is right on: "One of the best films I've seen on an artist and the artistic process."

I am the outreach coordinator for the film and both Allie Humenuk and myself would like to thank you for your support! We are distributing the film independently right now, and thanks to supporters like you the film is witnessing a tremendous amount of success. If you have any questions or ever want to contact us please feel free to reach me via this account.
Just returned from MFA. I liked the film so much that I placed an order for the DVD from the web site. Highly recommended.
Also, Abelardo himself participated in the Q+A.
Great job Allie !!!!!!
Wish I could have seen this... will it be released on DVD????
This looks like a good candidate for the VCP film series.
Suzanne, would you drive to Brattleboro to see it?
