Camera repairs in New England - Zacks in Providence, RI
In retail they say if you like the service tell your friends, and if you don't tell the store.
Well, I am telling my friends.
I just got one of my Retina's back from a CLA performed by Zack's camera in Providence R.I.
They did a superb job on it. It was in pretty good cosmetic shape before, but now it looks brand new. The shutter sounds wonderful, the focus is amazingly smooth, the rangefinder is perfect. The camera functions as if it were new.
I am very pleased, and I highly recommend them.

thanks for the info...and to think I thought Zacks was a strip club!

He fixed my Bessa R about a year ago. Great guy and he sells a few cameras too.
-
Would he be a person to ask if I was looking to chop the rangefinder off a Mamiya Universal and mount a viewfinder instead?

Chazzy, rternbach;
My best suggestion would be to contact them and ask. I presume they work in 120 folders, since they did my 35mm folder.
They have a website; http://zackscamerarepair.biz/
