Peter,

David's an absolute blast to meet in person. I am totally envious of that Voitlander (sp? actually, I don't even know if I got the brand right) that he carried around during Halloween. That was a very cool camera.

I am thinking of organizing a winter trip somewhere nearby as well. Will do some more research and organize when I get back from Toronto over the holidays.

I have a small group of photographer friends that I shoot with every now and then. The bunch of us met when we took a night photography course at ICP and have been shooting a few times since as a group. We're a mixed bag of analogs and digitals and every camera format in between!

Regards, Art.

I like to get out of Vegas and into NYC 3 to 3 times a year for food, theater and some good street photography, have been comtemplating taking a large format beast along on my next trip. I usually stay between 49th and 50th area, would love to touch base with some apugers.

Peter--sorry I didn't respond right away. I've been too busy to organize anything lately, but if someone else wants to organize something, I'll try to make it if I can.

Thanks, Art. I was shooting the Linhof Tech V 4x5" on Halloween.

Dave, I also get to Vegas periodically. My parents live there, and I usually have a meeting in the region once a year for something else, and my sister is in LA.

David G.
Please let me know when you are in town---I have 4 wheel drive vehicles and a home in the desert over by the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. Good photo ops.

Default NYC

Dave Wooten-just give a heads up as to when you might be in town. I photograph in NYC quite frequently and am presently doing a project uptown. Can always make time for a fellow APUG'er and LF person. Dave Goldfarb-Yes david thanks for your reply and I'm sure that we will eventually meet. Like I mentioned I'm in and out of there alot with my LF. Better to photograph now before the entire place becomes off limits. Been getting hassled quite frequently by the authorities but I just keep plodding on.
Happy Holidays to all, Peter

Thanks so much David and Peters,

I usually always bring 35mm and MF to the city but have been wanting to do some large negs-maybe I'll "Wee gee" it with the 4 x 5 graflex for my compact street set up and also bring the 7 x 17.

I actually might be in town in Feb. Don't know the dates yet...am usually between 50 and 51st street area. E mail is HacBety@intermind.net

my poor Russian for "in the light"
