I've been there, and theres a few good images to be made. I found the view from the top of the mounds interesting and shots around and between good, landscape wise. I kinda used up all I could find to shoot in a few hours. What you might try is to go to the Weinman Mineral Museum afterwards and shoot the mining equipment parked outside to round out the day.
Another good place to spend a lot of time and film is the Southwestern Railway Museum, lots of old iron and steel to point your camera at, some of it still moving.
You have a few covered bridges in your neck of the woods to go to, a tour of them would net some good photo opportunities.
Then theres the Jarrel Plantation down towards Macon, Rocktown on Pigeon Mountain near LaFayette, Cloudland Canyon nearby to that towards Trenton, Ga. and Providence Canyon about an hour south of Columbus.
