If we're talking about Sunday the 16th I may be able to make it. Gary, what's the drive time from our neck of the woods? Any particular time we'd plan to meet up?

I'd say its about a three hour trip. I'm beginning to think with the gas prices going up it will be a good idea to carpool out there. As far as leave time the earlier the better. We need a consensus on the exact time.

Ah, I see. This is the smaller Birmingham in the USA.
I'd love to come over, but I think I will wait until I will be treated as a guest, not a criminal.

I hope you guys have fun.

A little research tells me that Sloss does not open till noon on Sunday so make your plans accordingly. If you want we can try meeting at the Golden Rule barbeque at the Irondale exit a little before noon for lunch, it's good stuff. Looks like my wife and I might be in Carrollton Saturday night and will leave from there rather than loop to Roswell and back another 140 miles.

We'll be leaving soon for Carrollton, call my cell if you have any updates. Golden Rule is here: http://www.goldenrulebbq.com/locations/irondale/

We'll try to be at the Golden Rule by 11-11:30 Alabama time. I don't think they'll be open much sooner than that.
