I think that's for making lens blanks (ground and polished to correct diopter strength and cylinder, but left oversize and round) fit and correctly center in eyeglass frames. I'd be surprised if it would handle the thick, deeply curved lenses we commonly use in cameras; to an optometrist, +4 or -4 diopter is very strong, but +4 diopter is 250 mm focal length.

It would be very useful if a small optical lab were interested in custom fitting lenses to customer frames, though...
Photography has always fascinated me -- as a child, simply for the magic of capturing an image onto glossy paper with a little box, but as an adult because of the unique juxtaposition of science and art -- the physics of optics, the mechanics of the camera, the chemistry of film and developer, alongside the art in seeing, composing, exposing, processing and printing.

The seller's feedback suggests a history of not replying to email, and questionable descriptions. Beware.
