Nikon F90X repair worth?
Is it worth repairing a 15 y.o. Nikon F90X?
I don't think I've ruined the shutter but I've very very gently rubbed the blades with isopropyl alcohol to clean them. Very gently means letting the microfiber cloth (the one that is used to clean glasses - very very thin) rest on the blades under his own very weight. The blades did bend a very little while rubbing but they returned normal after. I've never touched directly the blades.
Can a shutter be ruined this way?
Is the repair economically feasible?
I can buy a new F75 for something like 180$...

FYI, a EX condition F90x can be had for under $150.

Is the shutter still functining OK?
If it is, perhaps no harm was done.
If it's not working, it might be more economically sound to get another secondhand 90X.
Nikon 90X is a much better camera than an F75.

Yes, the shutter open and closes normally. The blades aren't bend in any way, they bended very little only during rubbing.
I know that the F90X is way better than the F75 but the F75 is brand new.

Not in Italy unfortunately. Here I've searched on Ebay and folks sell their F90x for something like 200€, that is 250$.

Hmm, you could buy from KEH.com or something, but then you would be paying more for shipping from the USA.

You can have a look at reputable sellers in the UK like Ffordes or Grays of Westminster. Postage will be reasonable and you won't pay any taxes/import duties. Usual prices are below £100.

Ffordes.com in UK sells used F90x's for around 100€ .

Apparently it's not broken, so what are you worried about? A Nikon F90x (N90s in US nomenclature) can be had for very little money in the US. It would cost more to have it repaired than it would to get another body in good condition.

And, that camera is a very tough and durable camera, so chances that you did any lasting harm are slim.
