What is for this Military Lens

I found an acrylic lens tooling company website and there was a missile lens. It was conic shaped, 25 inches long , 4 inches diameter parabolic single piece lens.
It was like a corn or conical missile nose.

How does it work , does it look only front or does it work a very long fisheye.

    I am sorry , I lost the site .

What kind of a image does it produce , is there a clear visual image on the focus , or does it corrected by computer.

    Thank you ,

    Umut

Could be the front element of a Peri Appolar style military lens.
Photography, the word itself, invented and defined by its author Sir John.F.W.Herschel, 14 March 1839 at the Royal Society, Somerset House, London. Quote "...Photography or the application of the Chemical rays of light to the purpose of pictorial representation,..". unquote.
