Anyone evr repair the shutter on a 35 mm Minox such as the Minox 35 EL?

Hi,

I have a couple of these cameras. I really like them, but of course they have the dreaded shutter solenoid fault.

It is intermittent, but sometimes the shutter doesn't fire. You might lose one or two frames a roll, or you might lose ALL except one or two frames.

Trouble is there is no way to tell.

I intend to strip and service them - I hope having two I may have a reasonable chance of succeeding as I have a correctly assembled example to hand

Thing is, despite it being such a common and well known about problem, I can find almost nothing on the net to help. No diagrams, no one else's experiences, no schematics.

Maybe my searching skills are off - anyone know of any resources?

I Googled and found some listings for Minox repairs. Perhaps an email will illicit some needed info.
