    I'll need to fly in and rent a car. Looks like best places to fly into are Reno, Sacramento, or San Jose (all accessible from here in Minneapolis). Sound right? Reno looks the closest.

    Any insurmountable issues with a rental car? I note your suggestions regarding an SUV but not sure how available they'll be.

    My advice would be to rent a regular car. When going to Bodie or to areas with sand, dirt etc. carpool with someone in a SUV. Save money for film!!!


    Reno is the easiest place to start!

    Heh! You'd be welcome to come out and shoot the canyons here in the Southeast. Providence Canyon, Cloudland Canyon, Little River Canyon, Fall Creek Falls, Sipsey Wilderness, Walls of Jericho, Rocktown and more.

    Yes, when you come out here again you can shoot in Waimea Canyon - the largest canyon in the Pacific.
